Wire Rope Computer Detector MRT10-S
Brand: Mitech
Model: MRT10-S
Product Overview
The MRT10-S Wire Rope Flaw Detector is a state-of-the-art non-destructive testing (NDT) device developed by MITECH CO., LTD. Utilizing the principle of magnetic leakage, it can accurately detect internal and external defects in wire ropes, including broken wires, corrosion, and wear. The system also calculates changes in the metallic cross-sectional area and generates diagnostic reports based on industry standards and regulations.
This device incorporates advanced MRT magnetic sensor technology and an independent data collection module, allowing direct data transfer to a computer via RS232 or USB. The software uses wavelet transformation algorithms for real-time data acquisition, control, analysis, visualization, and storage. With dynamic target tracking, the MRT10-S provides continuous monitoring, real-time defect alarms, and automatic evaluation. The compact and lightweight design makes it ideal for various industries requiring precise wire rope inspections.

Applications
The MRT10-S Wire Rope Flaw Detector is widely used in industries that require regular inspection and maintenance of wire ropes, such as:
- Hoisting Machinery – Cranes, lifts, and heavy-duty lifting equipment
- Coal Mining – Mine hoists and conveyor cables
- Oil & Gas – Oilfield drilling rigs and mining machines
- Elevator Systems – Inspection of traction and suspension ropes
- Cableways & Rope Bridges – Ensuring the safety of cable car systems and suspension bridges
- Port & Shipbuilding – Cargo hoisting ropes and marine rigging
- Railways & Construction – Wire rope usage in railway signaling and structural engineering
- Electric Power & Water Conservancy – Tensioning cables in hydroelectric and transmission towers
Working Principle
The MRT10-S operates by magnetizing the wire rope using a high-intensity permanent magnet steel excitation system. When the rope passes through the MRT sensor, defects such as broken wires and wear create magnetic flux leakage (MFL). These magnetic signals are captured, converted into voltage, and processed into digital values. The built-in mathematical model software decompresses and analyzes the data, displaying the exact location, severity, and type of defect in real time. This allows inspectors to assess wire rope integrity and predict service life based on quantitative analysis.
Operating Conditions
