Working Principle

The MFP17-B follows six essential steps in film processing:

  1. Developing: The film is placed in the developer tank, where it interacts with chemical solutions for a set duration.
  2. Stop Sink Washing: A specialized stop sink system enhances the fixing liquid’s effect, ensuring accurate processing.
  3. Fixing: The film then moves to the fixer tank, where the fixer solution stabilizes the image.
  4. Small Waste Removal: Any excess chemicals and contaminants are safely removed.
  5. Washing: The film is thoroughly rinsed to eliminate any remaining residues.
  6. Drying: The film undergoes high-efficiency drying, preventing watermarks or streaks.

The processor operates under four modes:

  • Cold Mode: The system remains powered but inactive.
  • Preheating Mode: The system heats up to the optimal temperature before inserting film.
  • Wash Mode: The film undergoes the washing phase.
  • Self-Inspection Mode: The system automatically checks all components to ensure proper function.

Operating Instructions & Precautions

  1. Preparation Before Use:
    • Ensure the water drainage stopcock is closed and the freshwater tap is open.
    • After daily use, turn off the freshwater tap and drain residual water from the processor.
  2. Powering On:
    • Switch on the power supply, allowing the water tank to fill.
    • The ventilator fan will supply fresh air.
    • The developer and fixer baths will begin heating, and the LED bath heater will blink once the correct temperature is reached.
  3. Film Processing Steps:
    • Open the light protection cover.
    • Place the film on the left side of the feed tray and insert it.
    • The film switch automatically starts transport and replenishment.
    • The system processes the film through developing, fixing, washing, and drying.
    • Once completed, the film is ready for use.

Maintenance & Care

  • Before Use: Wipe the film infeed with a soft cloth to remove dust and debris.
  • System Check: Ensure all surrounding devices are properly connected.
  • Liquid Management:
    • Ensure replenishment tank liquid levels are at least 1/3 of the tank height.
    • Verify replenishment pipes are correctly inserted.
  • Cleaning & Storage:
    • Open the cover to wipe internal water droplets caused by liquid evaporation.
    • Inspect and remove roller surface crystallization or dirt.
    • Fill the cleaning tank with fresh water after maintenance.
  • Startup Check:
    • Ensure the power is connected and the water inlet switch is open.
    • Press the manual replenishment button to confirm developer and fixer circulation is functioning correctly.
  • Pre-Processing: Run 2-3 cleaning films through the processor to remove any residual dust and debris.
  • Post-Processing:
    • Drain all water from the system at the end of the day to prevent algae buildup.
