Total Weight: 45–80 kg
Product Overview
The Mitech XXQ-1005 is a portable X-ray flaw detector designed for non-destructive testing (NDT). Utilizing advanced X-ray technology, it detects internal defects in metal and various materials without the need for disassembly or destruction. It produces clear, accurate images of internal flaws on a special X-ray film, which can be preserved long-term.
Its compact, lightweight design makes it ideal for on-site operations, especially in harsh or elevated environments. This equipment is widely used across industries including shipbuilding, machinery manufacturing, aviation, railway systems, pressure vessels, boilers, oil and chemical industries, and defense. The XXQ-1005 is an essential tool for quality control and safety assurance.
Functions & Applications
This device is suitable for detecting internal flaws in:
Metal parts and weld seams
Castings and structural components
It is widely used in:Shipbuilding
Machinery manufacturing
Aviation and rail transport
Pressure vessels and boilers
Oil, gas, and chemical industries
National defense and military equipment manufacturing
Key Features
Portable & compact design: Easy to carry and operate in the field.
Microcomputer control system: Ensures stable and efficient operation.
Over-temperature protection: Automatically shuts down to protect the X-ray tube.
Stable current and voltage control: Adapts to various material testing requirements.
Built-in delay start function: Allows the operator to move to a safe distance before exposure.
Comprehensive protection system: Displays error codes for diagnostics.
Durable and safe: Control unit and high-voltage components are completely isolated.
Flexible power compatibility: Works well with generator units and unstable power supplies.
Ideal for outdoor or high-altitude work environments.
Working Conditions
Operating Temperature: -25°C to 40°C
Relative Humidity: ≤85%
Safe Working Pressure: 0.35 – 0.50 MPa
(Do not operate below 0.35 MPa)
Operation Guidelines
Turn on the device; standby mode activates after 15 seconds.
Set desired exposure time using the control knob.
Warm up the machine to improve vacuum integrity of the X-ray tube.
Set the required voltage (kV) using the appropriate knob.
Press “HV ON” to begin X-ray emission and countdown starts.
After exposure ends, the system automatically stops high-voltage output and enters a rest period before the next exposure.
Delay Function Setup:
Press and hold “HV ON” for 3 seconds to enter delay setting mode.
Delay can be set from 0.1 to 5 minutes.
To cancel, either restart the device or reset delay time to “00”.
Safety Notes
Always use proper X-ray shielding (e.g., 2mm lead or steel plates).
Ensure a minimum safety radius of 20 meters if shielding is not available.
Check internal air pressure regularly.
Ensure proper grounding of the control unit.
Avoid disconnecting power during rest periods to ensure cooling fan operation.
Maintenance Tips
If a fault occurs:
No display or fan not working: Check power, fuse, or cable.
Error codes on screen:
“LA” – Low current
“HA” – Overcurrent
“PU” – Overvoltage
“PT” – Overtemperature
Fuse issues or loud buzzer: May indicate tube or controller malfunction.
Leakage current: Check ground connection and insulation.
Important: Do not open or modify the unit. Contact Mitech’s authorized service center for inspection and repair.
