Mitech XXH-2505 X-Ray Flaw Detection System
Product Overview
The Mitech XXH-2505 is a portable inflatable X-ray flaw detector designed for non-destructive testing (NDT) of materials using X-rays. This compact and lightweight unit utilizes differences in material absorption to detect internal defects, making it highly effective for a variety of applications. It is particularly suitable for use in power generation environments and other challenging conditions. The X-ray film directly reveals the size and shape of internal defects, offering clear and precise imaging that can be preserved long-term. This device is highly versatile and can detect defects without requiring a smooth surface, with minimal influence from material grain size. Known for its strong anti-interference capabilities, the XXH-2505 is built for stability and reliability, ensuring consistent performance in industries such as shipbuilding, aviation, railway, oil and gas, chemical processing, and national defense.

Applications
The Mitech XXH-2505 is ideal for industries requiring non-destructive testing of materials, including:
Shipbuilding
Machinery Manufacturing
Aviation
Railway
Pressure Vessels and Boilers
Oil & Chemical Industries
National Defense
It is highly effective for testing materials in construction, maintenance, and inspection of weld seams, pressure vessels, and high-altitude operations.
Working Principle
The Mitech XXH-2505 uses an X-ray generator to produce X-ray films. The difference in material absorption allows for the detection of internal defects, such as cracks and voids, in parts and weld seams. By analyzing the size, nature, and location of these defects on the film, the quality of materials can be assessed. The X-ray tube operates at a high voltage, with energy directed towards the material being tested. The material absorbs some of the X-rays, and the remaining rays are recorded on a special film, creating a latent image that is developed to show clear, blackened areas corresponding to defects.
Operation Guide
Start-up: Turn on the generator; the digital display will show “HH” and the cooling fan will start. After a 15-second delay, the system enters standby mode.
Exposure Settings: Adjust the exposure time using the control knob. The machine should be warmed up before use to ensure the vacuum level in the X-ray tube is optimal.
Activation: Set the desired voltage (KV) and press the “HV” key to start generating X-rays. The system will display the countdown until exposure time ends.
Time-Delay Setup: To activate a delayed start, press the “HV” key for 3 seconds and select the delay time (from 0.1 to 5 minutes). Once the delay time has passed, the high voltage will be activated.
Rest Period: The machine will enter a rest period after each exposure, and the countdown for the next cycle will begin.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Routine Checks: Always ensure the air pressure in the X-ray generator is between 0.35 and 0.50 MPa. Never operate the machine if the pressure is too low.
Cooling System: The cooling fan must run continuously during operation. Ensure the power supply is stable, and the voltage does not fluctuate excessively.
Fault Diagnosis: The system will display error codes (e.g., “LA” for no mA, “HA” for over mA, “PU” for over voltage). Consult the user manual for troubleshooting guidance.
Professional Maintenance: If issues arise, do not attempt to repair the device yourself. Contact the manufacturer for professional service.
Safety Notes
Ensure proper radiation shielding when operating the X-ray generator, such as using 2mm thick tinplate for protection.
Maintain a 20-meter safety radius around the machine when not using radiation protection.
Always ensure the ground terminal is securely connected for safe operation.
