DURAN 211075409 Beaker — 1000 mL Super Duty Low-Form
The DURAN 211075409 is a 1000 mL Super Duty low-form (Griffin style) beaker made of high-end borosilicate glass 3.3. It is designed for demanding laboratory environments, featuring reinforced mechanical strength to better handle rough usage, frequent handling, and automated washing. The “Super Duty” build includes a sturdy, reinforced rim to improve impact resistance and extend the life of the glassware.
This beaker includes an integrated spout for clean and controlled liquid transfer and approximate printed graduations to help estimate volumes. A fired-on white ceramic labeling field allows for durable and legible sample identification. Uniform wall thickness helps ensure safer and more even heating, reducing the risk of thermal stress which could lead to cracking.
The DURAN 211075409 is fully autoclavable (≥ 121 °C) and complies with ISO 3819 / DIN 12331 standards. It also includes a retrace (batch) code for quality traceability, which is useful for laboratories that require documentation of source and batch of glassware.

Applications & Uses
Suitable for mixing, heating, and holding up to 1 L of liquids in general laboratory, research, or industrial settings.
Ideal when stronger, more resilient glassware is required (frequent handling, cleaning, or risk of knocks).
Good in educational or production labs where the Super Duty design reduces breakage and extends life.
Useful for applications where approximate volumes are acceptable, rather than precise analytical measurement.
Limitations & Handling Notes
Graduations are approximate — not suitable for quantitative precision (e.g., titrations)
Reinforced rim offers better durability, but glass remains fragile; avoid sudden impact or drops.
Avoid thermal shocks—sudden temperature changes (e.g. placing hot beaker into cold environment) may still cause damage.
Because of its size (1 L) and height (~145 mm), handling should be done carefully, especially when full or hot.
