Applications

  • Machined parts surface quality checks

  • Inspection of metal and non-metal components

  • Sampling inspection in quality assurance departments

  • On-site testing for large-scale parts and production lines

Working Principle

The MR100 employs the needle scanning method to measure surface roughness. Upon starting a test, the internal precision drive system moves the probe linearly across the surface. As the stylus tip tracks the material texture, vertical displacements from surface irregularities generate an electrical signal through the piezoelectric wafer. This signal is amplified and digitally processed by the onboard DSP chip, and the results are then shown on the OLED screen in real time.

Working Conditions

  • Operating Temperature: 0 ~ 40°C

  • Storage Temperature: -20 ~ 60°C

  • Relative Humidity: < 80% (operation), < 90% (storage)

  • Environment: Should be free from vibration, corrosive gases, magnetic fields, and heavy dust

Usage Instructions

  1. Place the MR100 on the surface of the workpiece and start the device.

  2. Ensure the movement is smooth and stable during probe operation for optimal accuracy.

  3. Wait until the probe returns to its original position before initiating another measurement.

  4. Close the probe protection door after use to prevent sensor damage.

Maintenance Guidelines

  • Keep away from impact, vibration, dust, moisture, oil, and strong electromagnetic fields.

  • Charge after each use; avoid overcharging to extend battery life (ideal charge time: 3 hours).

  • Handle the probe with care – it is a high-precision component.

  • Store the calibration standard safely to prevent wear or scratches.
