The Transferpettor uses a positive displacement principle, unlike air displacement pipettes. Here, the piston directly contacts the liquid being aspirated. The piston fits tightly and wipes the tip walls clean to the very last drop, ensuring consistent results. Tips can be reused as residual wetting is minimal.
