It is an excellent replacement for the previous 1865 Plus model, with significant upgrades and a more user-friendly interface.

The color graphical touchscreen displays all measurement parameters on one screen, with options to view tables and charts.   • Fully Programmable: The 1888 allows users to set voltage, charge time, and measurement time with ease. Direct reading of volume and surface resistivity is available when used with the 1888-11 or other resistivity cells, simplifying measurements.
  • High Precision: This instrument offers a resistance measurement range from 1 kΩ to 1000 TΩ, depending on the test voltage. It provides a basic accuracy of 0.25%* at DC voltages up to 1000 V.   • Multiple Display Options: Users can choose between normal, chart, and graph displays to view measured test voltage, current, and resistance, along with setup parameters. The display also shows whether a zeroing operation has been performed, enhancing the flexibility for calibration and R&D applications.
