The HI98121 is a lightweight and ergonomically designed tester that floats, allowing for readings to be taken virtually anywhere.
pH measures the voltage generated by an electrochemical cell at zero current, reflecting the acidity or alkalinity of a solution. In these redox reactions, oxidizing and reducing reagents participate in chemical reactions.
An ORP sensor must be chemically inert and have the proper surface characteristics to facilitate rapid electron exchange, known as high exchange current density. Typically, noble metals like pure platinum and gold are used in the construction of ORP sensors.
