Cannon 9721-F71 CFOC- 350 Calibrated
The Cannon 9721-F71 CFOC- 350 Calibrated is a precision Cannon-Fenske Opaque Viscometer for measuring kinematic viscosity of dark Newtonian liquids. Specifically, this reverse-flow viscometer is used when the meniscus cannot be seen at timing marks. Therefore, it is suitable for samples that cannot be tested with routine viscometers. Moreover, the instrument complies with ASTM D445, ASTM D446, ISO 3104, and ISO 3105, ensuring standardized test results.
Product Features
First, the reverse-flow design enables accurate flow-time measurement for opaque liquids. In addition, the viscometer is suitable for testing cutback asphalts and road oils at 60 °C (140 °F). Consequently, it meets the requirements of ASTM D2170. Furthermore, it is commonly used to evaluate lubricating and hydraulic oils at low temperatures. Meanwhile, external pressure can be applied to control shear stress and shear rate. As a result, the viscometer supports advanced rheological analysis. Each unit is factory calibrated and supplied with a calibration certificate and instruction sheet. Therefore, traceability and repeatability are well maintained.
Specifications
The viscometer requires a minimum sample volume of 12 mL. Additionally, a minimum bath depth of 229 mm (9 in) is required for proper operation. The instrument is calibrated at 40 °C with an approximate constant of 0.5 cSt/s. Consequently, it covers a viscosity range of 100 to 500 cSt. This range corresponds to flow times of 200 to 1000 seconds. Moreover, expanded uncertainty data are available for documentation purposes. Viscometers with special constants can be supplied upon request. However, the holder is sold separately. Compatible holders include 9726-M50 and 9726-M53. Replacement micro stoppers are available as 9726-N98.
Applications
Therefore, this viscometer is suitable for petroleum and asphalt laboratories. In addition, it is used in lubricant formulation and additive research. Moreover, it supports hydraulic oil analysis and quality control testing. In particular, it is recommended for dark or opaque fluids tested under international standards.
