The CANNON 9721-J50 Ubbelohde 25 Viscometer is a precision suspended-level viscometer designed to measure the kinematic viscosity of transparent Newtonian liquids. First, the suspended-level design eliminates the need for kinetic energy corrections across a broad viscosity range. In addition, the viscometer is especially suitable for measurements at high temperatures above 93 °C (200 °F) or low temperatures below −18 °C (0 °F). Furthermore, it is commonly used for evaluating jet fuels and hydraulic lubricants, where temperature stability and measurement precision are critical. Moreover, the Ubbelohde design ensures consistent hydrostatic pressure during flow, thereby improving repeatability.
Specifications
The viscometer measures kinematic viscosity over a wide range of 0.5 to 100,000 centistokes without kinetic energy correction. It requires a minimum sample volume of 11 mL. Additionally, a minimum bath depth of 254 mm (10 in) is required, with the viscometer submerged to 220 mm (8.5 in) during operation. This model is supplied as an uncalibrated viscometer. However, a calibrated version is available under model 9721-K50. Please note that the holder is sold separately. Compatible holders include 9726-M70, 9726-M73, and 9726-M76.
