Product Features

First, the suspended-level Ubbelohde design maintains a constant hydrostatic head during measurement. As a result, no kinetic energy correction is required over a wide viscosity range of 0.5 to 100,000 centistokes. In addition, the viscometer performs exceptionally well at elevated temperatures above 93 °C (200 °F) and at low temperatures below −18 °C (0 °F). Therefore, it is highly suitable for demanding laboratory environments.

Moreover, this model is calibrated at 40 °C and supplied with an official certificate of calibration and instruction sheet. The viscometer constant remains the same at all temperatures, which ensures consistent accuracy under varying test conditions. Furthermore, the instrument conforms to ASTM D446 and ISO 3105 specifications, providing traceable and internationally recognized measurement standards.

Specifications

The approximate viscometer constant is 0.015 cSt/s. Consequently, it measures viscosity within a range of 3 to 15 cSt, corresponding to flow times between 200 and 1000 seconds. The minimum required sample volume is 11 mL. Additionally, a minimum bath depth of 254 mm (10 inches) is required, and the viscometer must be submerged to a depth of 220 mm (8.5 inches) during operation to ensure accurate results.
