CANNON 9721-K83 Ubbelohde 600 Calibrated
The CANNON 9721-K83 Ubbelohde 600 Calibrated is a high-precision suspended-level viscometer engineered for accurate measurement of kinematic viscosity in transparent Newtonian liquids. This instrument complies with ASTM D445 and ISO 3104, ensuring standardized, reliable, and reproducible viscosity testing for laboratory and industrial environments. Therefore, it is ideal for applications that require dependable performance over a wide temperature range.
Product Features
First, the Ubbelohde suspended-level design maintains a constant hydrostatic head during measurement. As a result, no kinetic energy correction is required within the broad viscosity range of 0.5 to 100,000 centistokes. In addition, the viscometer performs reliably at temperatures above 93 °C (200 °F) and below −18 °C (0 °F). Consequently, it is well suited for both high-temperature and low-temperature testing conditions.
Moreover, this model is calibrated at 40 °C and supplied with a certificate of calibration and an instruction sheet. The viscometer constant remains the same at all temperatures, ensuring consistent accuracy regardless of testing conditions. Furthermore, its specifications conform to ASTM D446 and ISO 3105, providing traceable and internationally recognized testing standards.
Specifications
The approximate viscometer constant is 20 cSt/s. Therefore, it measures viscosity within a range of 4000 to 20000 cSt, corresponding to flow times between 200 and 1000 seconds. The minimum required sample volume is 11 mL. Additionally, a minimum bath depth of 254 mm (10 inches) is required, and the viscometer must be submerged to 220 mm (8.5 inches) during operation to ensure precise measurement accuracy.
Please note that the holder is sold separately. Compatible holder models include 9726-M70, 9726-M73, and 9726-M76.
Applications
This viscometer is widely used in research laboratories, quality control departments, and industrial testing facilities. It is particularly suitable for evaluating jet fuels, hydraulic lubricants, specialty oils, and other transparent Newtonian liquids. In addition, it supports viscosity testing under extreme temperature conditions, making it ideal for petrochemical, aerospace, chemical, and energy industries.
