The DURAN 212166302 is a large-volume, 2000 mL (2 L) narrow-neck Erlenmeyer flask from the DURAN® line, made of borosilicate glass 3.3. This flask is designed for rigorous laboratory use, combining high chemical resistance, low thermal expansion, and a classic conical body that supports efficient mixing and heating operations.

Its narrow neck (outer diameter ~ 50 mm) with a beaded rim helps reduce evaporation and splashing. The base (body) diameter is approximately 166 mm, with a total height of about 280 mm. It features approximate printed graduations for visual volume estimation, a Retrace Code for batch traceability, and uniform wall thickness which aids in safe heating and reduces risk of breakage from thermal stress. The flask conforms to DIN ISO 1773 / DIN 12385 standards. It is autoclavable at ~ 121 °C, making it suitable for sterilization and repeated use.
