DURAN 217714402 Culture Flask 500 mL (Erlenmeyer, Straight Neck)
The DURAN 217714402 is a 500 mL Erlenmeyer culture flask designed for microbiology, life sciences, and general laboratory use. Made from high-quality DURAN® borosilicate glass 3.3 (Type I, neutral glass), it offers outstanding thermal resistance, low expansion, and high chemical durability.
This model features a straight neck (~38 mm OD), which allows secure sealing with metal caps (sold separately). The conical Erlenmeyer shape promotes efficient mixing and aeration during shaking or incubation, while the flat base (~105 mm diameter) provides stability and enables uniform distribution of liquid media.
Each flask is supplied non-sterile and includes a Retrace Code for batch traceability. Packaged in cases of 10 units, it is fully autoclavable (~121 °C) for sterilization and repeated use.
