Hanna HI720 Calcium Hardness Checker
The Hanna HI720 Calcium Hardness Checker is a handheld digital colorimeter specifically designed to measure calcium hardness levels in water with precision and ease. Compared to conventional chemical test kits, this compact device offers professional-grade accuracy and repeatability, making it an ideal solution for water treatment, aquariums, and general water quality monitoring.
Using an adaptation of the Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater (18th edition, Calmagite method), the HI720 produces a reddish-violet tint in the sample when calcium reacts with the reagent. This coloration is then measured photometrically to provide direct, reliable readings.
