MITECH 934-1 Barcol Impressor with Single Bracket
Product Overview
The Mitech 934-1 Barcol Impressor with Single Bracket is a precision indentation hardness tester engineered for fast, on-site measurement of materials such as aluminum, fiberglass, and hard plastics. Based on the mechanical pressure principle, this portable and intelligent device features a digital display and rotating locating bracket to improve both usability and measurement accuracy.
Its compact, handheld design allows for effortless single-hand operation, while the one-key calibration function ensures user-friendly performance without the need for disassembly. Whether in production lines, workshops, or field inspections, the 934-1 provides a professional-grade solution for hardness testing, enhancing quality control and reducing manufacturing costs.
Key Features
Portable & Lightweight Design: Small form factor and only 0.48 kg, ideal for one-hand operation.
No Sampling Needed: Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) directly on the surface of the workpiece.
Wide Application Range: Suitable for a broad range of materials including pure aluminum, aluminum alloys, fiberglass, hard plastics, and more.
Bracket with Positioning Function: Equipped with a rotating bracket to enhance stability and testing precision.
Digital Display: Offers clear, precise readings for improved user experience.
One-Key Calibration: Enables quick and easy calibration without disassembly.
No Size Limitations: Unlike Webster testers, it can test workpieces of any size or shape without constraints.
Meets International Standards: Conforms to GB/T3854-2005 (China) and ASTM B648-2000 (USA) standards.
User-Friendly Operation: Requires no advanced training—ideal for use on the production floor.
Applications
The Mitech 934-1 is widely used across industries for testing the hardness of:
Aluminum Sheets & Thick-Walled Aluminum
Aluminum Wheels, Castings, Forgings, and Die-Cast Parts
Aluminum Structures: Doors, windows, curtain walls, fire escapes
Fiberglass and Plastic Products: Bathtubs, storage tanks, hulls, artificial marble
On-Site Inspections: Post-installation testing without dismantling components
Working Principle
The 934-1 measures hardness using the indentation principle—the depth of the indenter pressed into the test surface is inversely proportional to the material’s hardness. A deeper indentation means a softer material, and vice versa. The result is displayed in Barcol Hardness (HBa) units, from 0 to 100 HBa.
Operating Conditions
The test sample must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 mm.
Surface coatings or contaminants must be removed with sandpaper or solvents before testing to ensure accurate results.
The device should be used in dry, vibration-free, and non-corrosive environments.
Maintenance Tips
Keep Clean: Regularly wipe the unit with a soft cloth, especially the indenter and display screen.
Avoid Moisture: Prevent rust by keeping the unit dry.
Handle with Care: Avoid drops or strong impacts to protect internal components.
Store Safely: Remove the battery during long periods of non-use to avoid leakage and damage.
