The Mitech MT-1XC is a digital portable flaw detector that utilizes rotating magnetic field technology for high-precision, near-surface defect detection. Based on the principle that magnetic leakage fields attract magnetic particles, this instrument provides visual flaw detection by observing magnetic powder accumulation.
Equipped with a cross-type electromagnetic yoke probe and a four-wheel roller design, the MT-1XC enables continuous 360° flaw detection, making inspections more efficient and less labor-intensive. Built-in LED lighting with adjustable brightness (available in both white and fluorescent light) ensures clear visibility in diverse environments.
Powered by a high-capacity lithium battery pack, the instrument overcomes the limitations of traditional 220V magnetic particle flaw detectors, enabling greater mobility, higher sensitivity, and uninterrupted operation in field conditions.

Working Principle
The instrument magnetizes a ferromagnetic workpiece using a rotating magnetic field generated by the electromagnetic yoke. Flaws or cracks near the surface disrupt the magnetic flow, creating leakage fields. When magnetic powder is applied, it accumulates visibly around these leakage fields. Under proper lighting, these accumulations form visible indications, allowing the user to detect, locate, and assess defect severity.
