Product Overview
The Mitech XXGHA-2505 is a portable inflatable X-ray flaw detector designed for non-destructive testing (NDT) applications across a wide range of industries. Utilizing X-ray imaging to detect internal flaws in materials, it operates on the principle of differential absorption—where variations in material thickness alter the intensity of X-rays captured on film. This advanced method allows for highly accurate inspection of welds, castings, and structural components without damaging the test object.
Its lightweight, compact, and rugged design makes it ideal for use in harsh environments, including high-altitude construction sites and mobile inspection operations. The unit produces high-resolution images with minimal influence from surface roughness or material grain size, ensuring clear visualization of internal defects. It is widely used in shipbuilding, aerospace, railway, pressure vessel manufacturing, petrochemical, and defense industries.

Control Interface: Digital display with manual setting of exposure parameters
Operating Principle
The device produces X-rays by accelerating electrons through a high-voltage field onto a metal target. When X-rays penetrate a material, their intensity is altered based on material thickness and density. This difference is recorded on special X-ray film to reveal internal anomalies such as cracks, voids, or inclusions. After chemical development of the film, defect characteristics—including type, location, and size—can be analyzed for quality assessment.
Safety and Maintenance
Radiation Safety: Ensure shielding using 2 mm thick tinplate or maintain a 20-meter exclusion zone around the unit during operation.
Routine Checks: Monitor air pressure (≥ 0.35 MPa), ensure proper grounding, and check for cable connectivity.
Maintenance: In case of malfunction (e.g., display errors, fuse failure), contact Mitech service—do not attempt self-repair.
