Radon is a naturally occurring, odorless, and colorless gas produced primarily from the radioactive decay of uranium in soils and rocks. It can also be present in construction materials (like concrete, brick, and natural stone) and well water, emitting alpha particles and decaying into polonium and lead. Prolonged exposure to high levels of radon can pose serious health risks, making accurate detection and monitoring crucial.

Safety Guidelines:

• The Spanish Nuclear Safety Council (CSN) recommends an annual average radon level of 300 Bq/m³.
• The WHO suggests a reference maximum level of 100 Bq/m³ to minimize health risks. This is a guideline rather than a regulatory limit but aims to reduce prolonged exposure hazards.

RADET-86 Features:

• Operating Modes:
  • Mode 1: Compatible with DURGAS control panels. It measures radon concentrations in real-time and can control ventilation through up to three outputs with different levels. Local operations can also be activated.
  • Mode 2: Autonomous operation with a relay output for activating an extractor when radon levels reach 150 Bq/m³.
• Communication:
  • Equipped with Wifi (2.4 GHz) and Bluetooth for programming and data retrieval via a built-in web gateway.
  • Supports ModBus RTU for communication.
