Mitech XXG-3505 Inflatable X-Ray Flaw Detector

Product Overview

The Mitech XXG-3505 is a high-performance, portable inflatable X-ray flaw detector designed for non-destructive testing (NDT) applications. Utilizing advanced microcomputer control and an inflatable design, it enables users to detect internal defects in a wide range of materials and structures with clear, precise radiographic imaging. Engineered for use in challenging environments, the XXG-3505 is especially suitable for fieldwork in industries such as shipbuilding, aerospace, oil and gas, pressure vessels, and more.

Key Features

  • Advanced Imaging Capabilities: Accurately displays internal defects in various materials through X-ray film imaging, with high contrast and detail clarity.

  • Portable & Lightweight Design: Compact structure with inflatable components makes it easy to transport and operate in remote or high-altitude environments.

  • Microcomputer-Controlled Operation: Ensures precise settings, stable performance, and easy usability.

  • Safety and Protection Systems: Built-in over-temperature protection, automatic high-voltage cutoff, and anti-interference circuits for safe and reliable operation.

  • Adjustable Parameters: KV and mA settings can be continuously adjusted to suit different materials and thickness levels.

  • Radiographic Delay Function: Built-in delayed start feature allows operators to move to a safe distance before exposure begins.

  • Wide Applicability: Suitable for a broad range of NDT needs without requiring a high surface finish or being affected by material grain size.

  • Environmentally Durable: Operates effectively in temperatures ranging from -25℃ to 40℃ and up to 85% relative humidity.

Working Principle

The XXG-3505 operates by emitting X-rays that penetrate a material and are captured on a film. Variations in material thickness and density cause different levels of absorption, creating high-contrast images of internal defects such as cracks, voids, and inclusions. The photographic effect of the X-rays on specialized film allows for precise evaluation of defect size, shape, and location.

Applications

The Mitech XXG-3505 is ideal for a variety of industrial non-destructive testing applications, including:

  • Shipbuilding & Maritime Engineering

  • Aerospace and Aviation

  • Railway Infrastructure

  • Oil & Gas Pipelines

  • Pressure Vessels & Boilers

  • Chemical Processing Plants

  • Defense & Military Manufacturing

  • Heavy Machinery and Structural Steel Fabrication

Operating Instructions

  1. Startup: Power on the unit, allow warm-up, and set the exposure time.

  2. Adjust Parameters: Set the required kilovoltage (KV) and current (mA) before initiating X-ray generation.

  3. Exposure Process: Press the “HV” button to begin X-ray emission; countdown begins for set duration.

  4. Safety Delay: Use the delayed start option to safely move away from the radiation zone.

  5. Shutdown & Rest Time: After exposure, the system enters a cooldown phase to maintain internal stability.
