Hanna HI1093B Extended Length pH Electrode
The Hanna HI1093B Extended Length pH Electrode and HI1093P are specialized combination pH electrodes that feature an extended-length glass body and a 3 mm microbulb tip. As a result, they are ideal for deep, narrow sample containers such as NMR tubes. Designed for accuracy in low-volume samples, this electrode combines a single junction reference, open junction design, and non-aqueous Viscolene electrolyte for exceptional stability—even in challenging sample types.
Key Features
Extended-Length Body for Deep Access: Unlike standard pH electrodes, the HI1093 series offers an elongated glass shaft. Therefore, it is perfectly suited for applications requiring insertion into narrow tubes or long-necked flasks—such as NMR sample tubes.
Microbulb Tip (3 mm): Thanks to its ultra-small sensing area, the microbulb tip ensures precise measurements in very small volumes, which are commonly encountered in biotechnology and research labs.
Open Junction Design: Additionally, the open junction enhances measurement reliability by reducing clogging. This feature is especially important in protein-rich, viscous, or low-conductivity samples.
Single Junction Reference: While simpler than a double junction, the single reference system performs reliably in controlled environments, particularly when paired with the Viscolene electrolyte.
